Caring for your lingerie
We sell Lingerie Wash at the store.
I wash many of my lingerie items the same way you do—on the extreme delicate setting on my machine in a lingerie bag. That said, I firmly believe they will last longer if you hand wash them.
If you’re not used to hand washing delicates, it can sound crazy. I find it’s actually pretty easy to fill the bathroom sink with water and delicate wash and give them a little soak. It’s a zen sort of thing for me. When I am done, I usually drape them over a hanger and hang them by my opened bedroom window.
Regarding silk, I have washed mine in the machine, but over time, wish I hadn’t. I’d recommend airing it out after wearing (especially if you’re wearing as a fashion piece with the cami under it). I would dry clean it very occasionally.
